Therapeutic Exercise/Sports Rehab

The ultimate goal of therapeutic exercise is to return the injured patient to pain-free and fully functional activity.

If you’ve been injured and seen a sports physician or physical therapist, it is likely you were instructed to do certain strengthening and/or stretching exercises. Most people under-estimate the importance and effectiveness of these therapeutic exercises.

While passive treatments (such as manipulation, myofascial release, and trigger point therapy) are crucial to reducing pain and inflammation in the early stages of an injury, your long-term success largely depends on what you do.

Simply put, patients who play an active role in their injury rehab, and are willing to perform prescribed stretches and exercises get better and stay that way. This should not be thought of as a burden. In fact, it is empowering to know that you can take control of your body’s health.

Our goal is beyond that of simply reducing pain. We take our patients as far as they are willing to go in terms of developing a regular stretching and core strengthening routine. Implementation of an individualized stretching/core strengthening routine can keep you injury-free and enhance your performance and overall well-being.
