Biomechanical Sports Injury Examinations
Drs. Andy & Jen utilize standard orthopedic and biomechanical examination procedures that are widely accepted in the sports medicine arena. These examination procedures should provide 2 key pieces of information:
1) What is the specific tissue that is injured and how severe?
2) What caused the injury to occur?
You can probably think of multiple friends, family members or co-workers that complain about the same injury recurring over and over again.
We aim for more than temporary symptom relief. Identifying the root cause of your injury, and correcting it will keep the problem from returning.
Biomechanical evaluation often detects flexibility/strength imbalances that predispose individuals for certain injuries. If the biomechanical cause of the injury is not addressed, symptoms are likely to return when you return to your activity or sport.
