Alison Powers, Professional Cyclist

I’d been putting off seeing Drs. Andy and Jen Harmon because I thought I had a good chiropractor.  But something Dr. Andy had told me after I hurt my Achilles last fall was nagging me.  He said I need to take care of my Achilles so it’s not a recurring injury.  Though I thought my injury was healed, during periods of heavy training (riding my bike), I could feel my previous Achilles injury.  Then I broke my elbow and Andy and Jen invited me in.  This was my opportunity to see what Dr. Andy was talking about with my Achilles and see what kind of magic they could perform with my elbow.

After three visits to Peak Sports Chiropractic, I went to an intense three day training camp.  I had absolutely no Achilles pain, and my elbow held up amazingly well.  I rode more in those three days, pain free, than I had in almost 6 months.

I am a believer in the work Drs. Andy and Jen Harmon provide.  It’s more than the normal “cracking” of a Chiropractor.  They work with your body’s soft tissues and body movements to create long lasting healing.  It really works and whether you’re an athlete or not, if you want to live life pain free I strongly recommend you visit Peak Sports Chiropractic.

Tendinitis in my knee and wrist, bunion pain, back cramping, and sleep difficulty; all have attempted to interrupt my mountain bike season. Peak Sports Chiropractic has been there through each setback. Jenny and Andy have listened to my complaints and fit me in their busy schedules with various healing methods from much need adjustments, pop n’ crackin’ to acupuncture & dry needling to massage and e-stim. Peak Sports Chiro is where I go so I can reach every peak in my sport.

My visit to Dr. Jen and Dr. Andy came after my back tightened up and I had to abandon the Winter Park Hill Climb a mile and a half into the race. It was so tight, that I could barely stand up straight. A few treatments later, my back pain was all but gone. More importantly, Dr. Jen started working on the root cause of the problem that I’ve had since 1998. No other practitioner in any field had done that. She then started working on the damage that 35 years of coaching soccer and wrestling had done to my body. I was given exercises and stretches to help prevent re-injury. I am now stronger and more flexible than I’ve been in a decade. I periodically go back to Peak Sports Chiropractic whenever my body needs to be tuned from my over enthusiasm for riding. It’s great working with practitioners who are athletes and understand the needs of other (even aging) athletes. It’s my pleasure to strongly recommend Drs Jen and Andy to anyone, especially athletes looking for quality chiropractic care.

Dan Farrell, local cyclocross racer

My first visit to Dr. Jen and Dr. Andy was due to a nagging back pain that resulted from a high speed crash at the beginning of a cyclocross race. After just a few treatments, my back pain was gone entirely.

The coolest thing during those treatments was the additional work they did on my legs. Racing cyclocross is hard on the body—especially when you’re closer to forty than you are to twenty. My flexibility was poor to put it mildly but the treatments, combined with some simple stretching techniques they gave me to do at home, improved things tremendously.

Now I go to Peak Sports Chiropractic whenever my body feels a little ‘off’. Whether it’s from too many days in a row on my singlespeed mountain bike or too many plane trips for business, Dr. Jen and Dr. Andy always get me back to feeling great in no time.
I heartily recommend them to anyone looking for quality, thoughtful chiropractic care. However, I don’t recommend you try to keep up with either of them on a bicycle—they’re both super fast!
